Delivering a better world.
At AECOM we’re driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world. Our clients count on us to think without limits and we partner with them on projects spanning transportation, buildings, water, governments, public realm, energy and the environment, to build legacies for generations to come. AECOM is a great place to work. We prioritise culture, fun and creating an engaging work environment. We offer career development and mentoring for every staff member, as well as social and wellbeing opportunities. We have been recognised for our commitment to gender equity, value diversity and flexible work is visibly led from the top.
We are an infrastructure consulting business, providing diverse services to our clients across the whole spectrum of a project lifecycle – from ideation through to construction and operation. Our Canberra business is a significant contributor to the local economy, and broader Australian economy, as stated by our Chief Minister and our Federal Government Treasurer, at our new office opening in 2020. Located in the National Capital but with locations all over Australia, AECOM Canberra focuses on Federal and State Government clients. Our people also support our nationally and globally significant projects, which have proven to provide unique career defining moments.
The Role
AECOM helps clients create distinctive environments where architecture, landscape, company culture and local community merge to create a ‘place’. We approach design in an integrated way through exploration and holistic thinking, basing our design on the symbiotic relationship between land, form, structure, systems, and materials to drive high performing buildings. We provide a comprehensive approach grounded in our expertise in each aspect of the project lifecycle. Placement will involve: assisting in production of drawings & other technical documentation through various stages of development, planning and design; compiling tender submissions & project management responsibilities.
Graduates – with their fresh thinking and passion for reimagining what’s possible – are critical to our success. Ideas have no borders and this ethos is embedded in our culture. As a graduate, you will have the chance to work alongside like-minded professionals and industry leaders on iconic projects that help shape and connect our cities and communities.
