Your role:

A multi-role fighter aircraft tears across the evening sky at Mach 2. On-board, the pilot and air combat officer are relying on your newly gained skills to keep them safe in flight, and as well-equipped as possible in an emergency.

As an Aircraft Safety Equipment Maintainer you'll be responsible for fitting and maintaining the all-important life support and survival equipment in state of the art military aircraft.
In this ultimate health and safety role, you'll be working with:

  • life rafts
  • rescue pyrotechnics, and
  • specialist fabrics

Salary:

  • Fully-paid training
  • Once trained, starting package approx. $69,045 p.a. plus superannuation (salaries correct as of 01/08/2019)

Location:

  • Training in Wagga Wagga, NSW
  • Then posting to one of the many Air Force bases including Edinburgh, SA, Amberley, QLD, Richmond, NSW, Tindal, NT, Townsville, QLD or Williamtown, NSW.

Entry Requirements:

  • At least 17 years of age
  • Australian Citizen
  • Year 10 completion with passes in English, Mathematics and Science
