Your role:

As an Environmental Health Manager in the Air Force, you'll be responsible for the planning and execution of control strategies to minimise the health impact of the environment and workplace of Air Force personnel.

You'll be responsible for providing Environmental Health and Occupational Hygiene services including noise and lighting surveys, workplace assessments, water and food safety, emergency management, vector control and more. You may also have the opportunity to support peacekeeping missions and communities in need by providing Environmental Health and Occupational Hygiene advice and disaster support.

Salary:

When you first join the Air Force and while studying for your degree at the university of your choice, you will be paid between $33,126 and $45,172 per year depending on your year of study.

Upon completion of your initial training, you'll enjoy a competitive starting salary package of up to $74,785 plus generous super.

To be eligible for an Air Force Undergraduate sponsorship, applicants must be an Australian citizen and have completed:

  • The first full year of study (preferably with academic results) of a full-time undergraduate degree majoring in Environmental Health. The undergraduate degree must be accredited by Environmental Health Australia.
  • Applicants need to be undertaking an approved undergraduate degree, majoring in Environmental Health. Information on accredited courses can be located on the Environmental Health Australia web site.
