Management at BOQ Group

Weekly 1-on-1 check-ins to see how I'm feeling and provide updates on what is happening/ work I'll be completing for the week. Also have a whole team meeting to keep updated on what is happening within the business and provide an opportunity to ask questions. Every 1-2 months there's an ExCo update which mean the CEO usually is in attendance/ provides an update across the different offices. I'm still off a couple of the distribution lists and sometimes don't receive every email but I'm informed of them via my team so that's ok.

My direct mentors have been very helpful in my development within the company. They consistently check in with me and have even talked to me about my future within the firm.

Managers are very helpful, they provide a lot of great info and are easy to reach.

The management structure is amazing, my manager is approachable, open and honest. She is an expert in her position, catches up weekly for meetings and ensures we have enough work without being overwhelmed. She also ensures we have the opportunity to grow, learn and contribute and monitors our performance through feedback and online resources.

The HR team conducts monthly 1-1s to discuss how we are feeling within BOQ and our team. In terms of management within the team, I do not receive much face time with my manager and am currently unsure on how I am progressing.

As part of the Graduate program there is regular exposure to senior figures within the bank. However outside of that for regular employees there can be limited interaction.

My manager is clear with expectations while also giving me new tasks to help me develop my skills. The managers are usually pretty busy but there are catch ups for Graduates at least monthly.
