A Career in Corporate Finance

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Graduate Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team, commencing immediately either part-time or full-time depending on study requirements.

The Corporate Finance team provide advisory services to clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, valuations, due diligence, and restructuring. Our specialists help clients with buying, selling, or growing their businesses by providing expert financial advice and guidance! As a Graduate Analyst, you will assist with the preparation and execution of Corporate Finance engagements in these areas and use the various research tools available to assist Senior Analysts, Managers and Partners.

Pros and cons of working at BDO Australia

Pros

  • The culture in and out of the office is great.

  • My colleagues are always willing to get out of their way to help me.

  • Great opportunity to learn. People are nice and not getting annoyed when I ask questions.

  • Never any pressure to stay late.

  • The training is great, I have learned a lot in my time here.

Cons

    • Pay is relatively low, however this is industry-wide.

    • The graduate program doesn't rotate us through all the service lines.

    • Some managers are great and give constructive feedback. Others do not provide you with proper instructions.

    • Dishwashers are small... toilets are not flushed... desk are most of the time dirty.

    • Could include more women, however this is the industry.
