Join BDO as a Vacationer in our Project & Infrastructure Advisory team in November 2025.

BDO is one of the world’s leading audit, accounting, advisory, and consulting firms. We provide a range of services to clients of all sizes and industries across Australia.

As a vacationer, you’ll see firsthand how our Project & Infrastructure Advisory team works with public and private clients to help infrastructure get built, upgraded and maintained. They provide a broad range of advice and support including real estate advisory, policy strategy and planning, transaction management, financial and commercial advice, economic advisory, and project and program management.

This will vary day to day and can include research and analysis, preparing reports and presentations, and financial modelling.

 What you’ll get:

What you’ll offer:

  • Your knowledge from your current studies – Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • You will be in your penultimate or final year!
  • Your availability to commence in either November 2025 or January 2026 for 4 weeks. The length of the program and available intakes may vary in each location.

Checking emails, liaising with clients to receive information on their R&D activities, writing/drafting activities according to AusIndustry guidelines/ITAA legislation. Calculating financial incentives and meeting with clients.

Pros and cons of working at BDO Australia

Pros

  • The culture in and out of the office is great.

  • My colleagues are always willing to get out of their way to help me.

  • Great opportunity to learn. People are nice and not getting annoyed when I ask questions.

  • Never any pressure to stay late.

  • The training is great, I have learned a lot in my time here.

Cons

    • Pay is relatively low, however this is industry-wide.

    • The graduate program doesn't rotate us through all the service lines.

    • Some managers are great and give constructive feedback. Others do not provide you with proper instructions.

    • Dishwashers are small... toilets are not flushed... desk are most of the time dirty.

    • Could include more women, however this is the industry.
