Who are we?
If you havenโt heard of us, then we guarantee youโve heard of our brands. Diageo Australia is the countryโs leading spirits producer with an enviable portfolio of brands including Australiaโs iconic Bundaberg Rum; global giants such as Johnnie Walker, Gordonโs Gin, Baileys, Smirnoff and Captain Morgan; and our premium Reserve brands such as Tanqueray, Aviation Gin and Don Julio. Cocktail culture is thriving across Australia and our industry is one thatโs vibrant, fast-paced and trend-leading.
Are you ready to take your career global? Do you thrive in an environment that is fast-paced and agile? Are you passionate about a career in local manufacturing? If so, then weโd love to have you in our 2023 Graduate Program! Our global program is known as industry-leading, and weโre on the quest to find the next generation of global talent to lead our business to even more incredible performance!
What does our Graduate Program include?
Joining our Supply & Manufacturing Graduate program is an incredible start to your career in the manufacturing industry, working with industry leaders across a 2 year rotational program. Our Graduates will be working hand in hand to produce and deliver Australia's most loved and celebrated brands whilst gaining end to end practical exposure across the entire supply chain.
Our Grads will be immersed in the end-to-end supply chain process from the beginning. Youโll spend time building relationships across our business and with our key suppliers, both here in Australia and globally to understand the magic and science behind the process of turning raw materials and ingredients into some of Australiaโs most loved products.
Over the two year-rotational programs, youโll have an opportunity to excel in areas across our Supply and Manufacturing Teams such as Manufacturing Excellence, Innovation, People Leadership, Procurement, Governance and Planning. Our program is designed to take you where you want to go โ with the opportunity to choose your final rotation to suit your career aspirations!
Throughout the program, youโll have a combination of formal training with a global leadership curriculum, mentoring and coaching from respected colleagues and, most importantly, real-world, on-the-job experience. From the beginning you will be working on projects that will develop and improve your skill set. Youโll be able to make a real contribution to the business while building a global network of relationships that will support your career, now and long into the future.
What is the Diageo culture like?
Are you prepared to take risks in the pursuit of greatness? Do you hold yourself to the highest standards with real accountability for results? Would you treat the business as if it is truly your own โ because you want your legacy to be worthy of that of our founders? Then, letโs talk!
We are an organisation that crafts products that are part of celebrations, and our culture reflects this. We work in a flexible way to ensure that you can fit work around your life commitments โ this may be a different location and/or flexible hours. We are a future-focused organisation, that is constantly wanting to perform better and to continue our growth.
What is our commitment to inclusion and diversity?
Diageo is committed to building a workplace culture that values inclusion. We actively promote the employment of people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTI and other diversity groups.
Diageo encourages applications from people with disability and will provide reasonable adjustments in our recruitment processes and in the workplace. If you need an adjustment in the recruitment process, please let us know when submitting your application and we will tailor our process where practical.
I am currently focussing on learning the production lines, and starting three projects for the business (to do with waste, implementing a system and quality).
Great responsibilities that have the right level of challenge and support to grow
I own a territory and am an account manager for all independent bottle shops, bars, and restaurants in that area (Sydney Northern Beaches). There is a lot of selling, contract negotiation, relationship management, and admin in this role.

Retail & Consumer Goods
Diageo stands proud to be the world's largest spirits business owning brands Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Gordon's and our homegrown hero Bundaberg Rum.
What is great about my workplace is the people, and that every day is different!
They are very flexible, as long as you complete what is required!
I have been well looked after and supported in being trained up and coached in new tasks and responsibilities.
There are options and opportunities for promotions and career progression, especially for the supply chain side of the business!
There are outreach things and groups here.
Sometimes, because there is a lean headcount, there are a lot of tasks and projects, and sometimes you may not be well set up for success.
Yes, Huntingwood is not the easiest location (okay if you can drive, but hard to get to by public transport!).
Bonuses were confusing, only because it was a formula and seemed complicated in how it was calculated.
Maybe more clarity in the different rotations and structures earlier on!
Because of a lean headcount, it can be challenging to get sufficient support.
