Glencore Coal Assets have a number of opportunities opening to graduating or recently graduated university students to join our Environmental Graduate Program. As a Graduate Environment and Community Professional, you will be given a unique opportunity on behalf of our mine sites to assess, implement and manage processes for minimising the effects of human activities on the natural environment. While applying your specialist knowledge and skills, you will further build your professional expertise together with an experienced and driven team to develop robust environmental management systems, conduct environmental impact assessments and actively work to control all forms of pollution.
About the Role
As a Graduate Environment and Community Professional, undertake duties such as noise and vibration control, ground and surface water management, air quality control, waste management and rehabilitation of disturbed land. You will have the opportunity to gain valued experience in environmental monitoring and project management rotating throughout the different working areas. Joining a team of environmental professionals will allow you to learn from the best, whilst you assist in optimising program strategies and implement industry best QA/QC protocols, collate and analyse environmental monitoring data to quantify performance, complete technical reports and provide overall support to the environmental team in managing key improvement projects.
