Promotion possibilities seem a bit limited in the first year, but will open up once out of your grad year. Criteria for promotions is pretty well defined as software engineering roles are tiered.

To work your way up the ranks seems very straight forward. There is a map of knowledge expectations to reach for each level. That makes it easy if you know what role you enjoy. However, if you wish to explore it seems a bit harder to experiment in various roles before settling in an area.

The lower ranks are usually progressed through the initial experience as long as a competent knowledge base was developed. Not too sure overall about ranks further up the chain (t3, t4 etc. )

All graduates are employed on a full time, ongoing basis. At the end of the grad program, based on performance there are promotions after that the company will do their best to help you grow in every way.

Because of the team that i am in, progression is slow due to a high retention rate. That said, it's not that slow. A year as a grad, maybe 3-5 as a software engineer, then 5-10 as a senior etc.
