Our Building business is one of Australia's largest construction companies, recognised for our market-leading design, project management and construction services. We push boundaries to create iconic places that are innovative, sustainable and commercially viable.
A national business unit within Lendlease Building, User Experience specialises in agile end-to-end project delivery of the small to medium-sized projects and programs of work (sub $100m). With a focus on customer, tenant and end-user outcomes, our projects span across commercial workplace, education, residential and retail sectors for both internal and external clients. We continue to contribute to evolving property landscape through collaboration on internal development projects as well as standalone projects for a variety of government and corporate bodies as well as our framework accounts with prominent corporate clients ANZ, NAB and Telstra on a national basis.
As a Graduate Site Engineer, you would work alongside the wider project teams and gain exposure to the entire project lifecycle including design, procurement, construction and process management. You will gain exposure to clients, stakeholders and consultants and be responsible for coordinating and monitoring contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to quality, time and cost expectations. This will involve supporting the project across safety, quality, cost management and program. Your rotations will be within the various projects and teams within the User Experience business as you develop your interest and skills in this fast-paced and integrated environment.
Coupled with your passion for the Built Environment, we are looking for students with degrees in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or Design related fields, Engineering or any related discipline. You will enjoy interacting with a diverse range of individuals, be motivated by challenge and change whilst driven to deliver results through your resourcefulness. We look for graduates who are passionate, motivated and driven to make a difference, with a commitment to safety, sustainability and diversity.
Our projects can be found around the country; within the metro and regional locations, so it is essential you would be prepared to be mobile/relocate across these project needs.

Application Process
I like how varied my day to day responsibilities are and how they allow me to work with different people with different skills and expertise.
As a temporary undergrad role, I felt like I was often floating about and would have preferred a higher degree of responsibility.
Largely part of the fit out team, I have been responsible for building/pushing programmes, ensuring works are meeting technical specs., documenting quality and sequencing works for partitions, waterproofing, painting and frames/doors. On top of this, I have had exposure to commercial roles through assessing variation claims for subcontractors on-site.

Construction & Property Services
Lendlease is a globally integrated real estate and investment group with expertise in shaping cities and creating strong and connected communities.
Projects are very interesting and exciting. Systems are well defined, rigorous, and make sense most of the time. People are smart and passionate about the industry.
Everyone is understanding of my lack of knowledge in the industry due to lack of experience. They are welcoming and willing to teach the basics about construction.
Getting assigned to different roles/areas of the business which helps provide myself more information on the various areas and give me an idea on what area I would want to pursue in the future
Long hours
I think the worst thing for me personally is the commute, I spend upwards of 2.5 hours driving per day and if I was to take Public transport it would be 4 hours. However I do have a good understanding of sacrifice and believe it is worth it.
I would like to receive more feedback.
