Application Process & Interviews at Linfox ANZ

Awesome experience, the streamlined process from initial application, to the question and video interview, all the way to the final interview was very easy. I also had an amazing interviewer, which made me feel very comfortable, enabling me to perform my best during the interview. This was one of the reasons why i chose linfox because of the hiring process. Psychometric testing is flawed, you lose too many good people because of flawed data collection, i am thankful linfox does not force its candidates to undertake those types of testing. The initial questions asked are a form of psychometric testing, however they are more reasonable based on the scenario.

Multi-leveled, the interview process whilst longer than some was fairly straight forward. The interviewing team made it as relaxing and enjoyable as possible despite that fact no one enjoys jobs interviews.

I completed one-way interviews, online assessments and an in-person interview. Everything was smooth, easy to understand, and the in-person interview was pleasant and insightful.

Remote interview with hr and an individual that has gone through the graduate program. Followed by several tests that examine personality, decision making, and general knowledge.

I had to get past 2-3 rounds of interviews from my memory, this showed me that Linfox was a serious company and wanted the most out of their employees which I valued.

I was asked questions about my educational background, strengths, weaknesses, background in work, pay I was after and other things such as hobbies.

I was primarily asked scenario based questions which placed the candidate in the position of an operations supervisor/manager and then work out or resolve an issue that you would be likely to face in that position. This allowed the candidate to illustrate their problem solving skills to the organisation.

Research the company, as well as spend time talking to people at linfox, get to know them see what their history is and why they chose linfox - it provides great insight. Also have a passion for the industry you are working for, this helps you to continue your drive to progress further in your career.

No specific tips - give some thought to the questions an interviewer might ask but at the end of the day it's guess work and you'll answer how you answer in the interview. Be genuine.

Show the willingness to grow and work with the company.

My best advice for potential graduates looking to join the business is to research the company, find out what we do here and think about what you like and what you can see developing within the industry and talk to that

Think about what you want to achieve / learn during the graduate program. Be prepared to take in a lot of information about logistics. Always keep an open mind.

Keep an open mind, don't place any expectations. Take every experience for the first time and focus more on the learning curve. be patient with the process.

Research the company and really figure out why you would like to work for linfox and explore their values.

Look at the business's social media accounts, ask the interviewer about something you saw (shows you are interested). When answering questions relate them back to the business values.

I would recommend being prepared in terms of what you want out of this job. For example, some graduates start very early and finish early. You have to think about weather this suits your lifestyle. Have a look into the background of linfox because the history of the company is valued and respected here.

Research the company. As a private company, we are proud of the work we do and the people who make it happen, gaining a greater understanding of the company would be a great starting point for any prospective candidate. Then i would recommend researching the issues or key talking points that are going on within the industry to ground yourself with the day-to-day challenges of the company. You could then take this a step closer by thinking of responses/opportunities that can come out of these challenges to demonstrate your higher level thinking. Lastly, i think it would be beneficial to do whatever you can to have a compelling story to show any prospective employer. Whether this be through building your experience in similar environments or taking on extra opportunities whilst you are studying, work ethic and initiative do not go unnoticed .
