Our award winning Lockheed Martin Australia Graduate Development Program is designed to expose you to unique professional and personal learning and development opportunities. You will have either completed or are completing your tertiary level engineering qualification by December 2021 in a related discipline (typically Electronics, Mechanical and/ or Mechatronics, Cyber), or equivalent/ combined education with a passion for technology.

You will be a curious learner and be excited about the opportunity to work with and learn from the best leaders in their fields. You will also have outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal and have a flexible approach to managing changing priorities in this fast paced and dynamic environment.

At times the work can be very process or administrative-based. However, in Contracts, the day-to-day is fulfilling and consists of contract reviews, clause drafting, negotiations, business improvement activities, etc.

Pros

  • The good work-life balance we get with a 9-day compacted fortnight

  • Good culture, nice people, and everyone is happy to help you learn.

  • A broad range of experience and development without changing programs or projects.

Cons

    • It's a big company, so it can be overwhelming when starting out.

    • Hybrid working conditions are overall great for flexibility, but not so great when you're the only one in the office sometimes.

    • Too many forms of communication to keep an active eye on.

    • Career progress opportunities are there, but the jump can take slightly too long.

    • In some offices it can be hard to talk to people who are not in your vicinity due to cubical style layout.
