I never feel overwhelmed with tasks as there is always someone to sound off on and I'm encouraged to ask questions in the event that I have been given a task and I'm unsure how to do it.
I assist in the release of mine plans from short to long term along with operational and drill designs. I also keep track of the mine production. These infer some responsibilities in sending out daily planning and production reports as well as hosting meetings.
My responsibilities change based on the project I'm working. So far they include: - QC seismic lines and their position, mapping particular assets on surface and delineate structures on the subsurface (seismic interpretation), literature reviews related to the different projects, site visits, writing reports and preparing presentations to showcase later results, and catch-up meetings with contractors and my team.

MinRes is a leading mining services company with a growing world-class portfolio of lithium and iron ore operations across Western Australia.
I really like being a part of a large company. The amount of opportunities, diversity in the type of work performed, and the amount of people you meet is great experience for a graduate.
The opportunity to progress your career.
I'm part of an amazing team where everyone is open to help and we all have a "yes I can" mentality. The only 'wrong' questions are the ones you don't ask, and the manager and senior employees are always happy to explain.
The thing which stands out for me at MRL is the cultural diversity and inclusiveness. The people are friendly, approachable, and overall it has a good work culture.
Since the company is still in the growth phase, there's a lack of fixed processes/procedures to complete certain tasks.
The company reacts to the market and is constantly evolving, which can be both positive and negative. This can be stressful when prioritizing tasks as things shift so quickly.
The lack of communication between departments.
The extra hours that you sometimes have to do to get the job done.
