As a Protégé Developer at MYOB you have an incredible opportunity to master your craft under the guidance of dedicated mentors. In this role you will learn and develop the skills and mindsets we know are key for a long and successful career as a software professional at MYOB and beyond.
This virtual experience will give you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge on some of the key concepts you will be exposed to at MYOB as a Protégé Developer. This is a great way of seeing this role at MYOB is a good fit for you.
The Virtual Experience consists of a number of mini projects resembling real work scenarios, designed to test and develop your professional skills. As you complete the modules you will unlock model answers, allowing you to assess your performance in real time.
This Virtual Experience Program is self-paced and should take only 4 to 5 hours to complete.

When you complete the Virtual Experience Program, you’ll earn a digital badge and certificate you can share on Linkedin and include on your resume.
Throughout the program, you’ll learn and develop deep insights into what it is actually like to work as a developer at MYOB. Apply your engineering knowledge to a real-world problem & gain practical experience and knowledge to draw upon in interviews.
Completing this Virtual Experience will give you insight into what it would actually be like to work for MYOB as a Protégé Developer. On top of that, you gain real skills, invaluable experience and the confidence you need to be successful in your early career.
Module 1: An Introduction to C#
Protégé Developers start learning C# as a base language. This module will teach you some of the fundamentals and provide the opportunity to put those into practice with a short exercise.
Module 2: An Introduction to TDD (Test Driven Development)
Protégé Developers start learning TDD using xUnit.net, alongside the base language C#. This module will teach you the process for writing tests using the TDD method and provide the opportunity to put those into practice with a short exercise.
Module 3: Quiz on OOP and SOLID principles
This module aims to give an understanding of Object Oriented and SOLID Principles
Module 4: SQL
This module aims to teach the basics of SQL and database manipulation.
Module 5: Growth Mindset
This module aims to give an introduction to Growth Mindset at MYOB.

As a grad, I focus on specific projects such as developing console applications and APIs.
Learning new concepts while working on assigned tasks and meeting with mentors to discuss concerns and such.
Up-skilling, participating in meetings and cohort charter sessions, workshops, code reviews with mentors, working on projects.
