Your new role

The Graduate Project Coordinator role is immersive, challenging and rewarding – you will be partnered with an experienced Project Manager from day one, and get immediate exposure to the variety of this exciting career path.

The primary purpose of the Project Coordinator role is to act as a support for and provide assistance to the State Manager and Senior Project Manager, coordinate key project activities, and assist in the administration of contracts in relation to nominated projects to ensure the performance targets are met and potential sources of risk are mitigated.

Our portfolio includes Residential, Hotel, Commercial, Industrial, Hospitality and Retail projects, from early concept and design management through to construction delivery and handover. As such the successful applicant will be exposed to a broad variety of learning and networking opportunities as they start their career.

What you bring

The successful applicant will have completed a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or similar. A strong academic history with transcripts and work history with references are also required.

Competencies

  • To be applicable, you must have graduated after 2019;
  • To be applicable, you must have Full Working Rights; 
  • Ability to interpret and apply contract documentation;
  • Analytical skills;
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight time frames; and
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Project.

My day to day responsibilities include managing consultants, administrative tasks, communicating with different stakeholders, problem solving, keeping track of budget and program, assessment of costs, invoices and variations, reporting, keeping up to date with progress on construction site, dealing with any issues that arise on a daily basis, working with client and consultants on design development and changes.

My role is to assist the Project Manager. My day to day responsibilities include undertaking progress claim walks, writing PCG Reports, taking meeting minutes, responding to emails, assessing variations and undertaking client site walks.

Pros

  • Going out to the site to see the project you're working on coming together seeing a project come to life and being able to say that you were part of that journey or had something to contribute is very rewarding.

  • The exposure you get to variety of projects is fantastic.

  • Good culture and room to grow. Good social events.

Cons

    • The current office lay out we require more space with adequate amenities to freely collaborate as it does get noisy in the office. WFH flexibility is available, and is a good opportunity to detox from the noise and continue on with work without distractions.

    • Dealing with negative people.
