NSW Treasury is seeking new and recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in public policy economics. To facilitate a successful start, the program will build upon the graduate's background to develop and improve their skills and knowledge in core areas, including: understanding public sector policy development and implementation practices, processes, and institutional arrangements, including legislative and budgetary processes; managing time effectively in complex and uncertain situations; and building and maintaining strong working relationships with mentors, managers, and colleagues.
The graduate will join the Economic Strategy and Productivity Group, which includes the NSW Productivity & Equality Commission, and work within either the Centre for Economic Evidence, Markets & Regulation Division, Macroeconomy Division, or Revenue Division.
