National Graduate Program - Communication Stream null

The ideal candidate  

We want graduates who are bold and forward-thinking and who can bring big ideas.

For our communication stream, we're looking for graduates with qualifications in:  

• communication
• digital and social media
• graphic design
• journalism
• marketing
• media and public affairs
• media arts
• multimedia
• web design
• writing.

If you have any of the above degrees, you can apply to both our communication and generalist streams. If you’re assessed as suitable for both streams, we’ll try to match you in the communication stream first. Once you start, you’ll stay in the communication stream for the duration of the program.  

Range of work  

In the communication stream, you may work on a range of projects and tasks like:  

• corporate and marketing communication, including delivering communication plans to engage customers and staff
• media enquiries and liaising with journalists
• social media management
• video production and editing
• web content and publishing
• graphic design
• myGov content.

• a competitive salary, ranging between $66,310 - $73,906 depending on your qualification level

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the program, you must be an Australian citizen.

You’ll need to have successfully passed and completed:

• an undergraduate degree within the last 5 years
• a postgraduate degree within the last 5 years.

If you got your degree overseas, you’ll need to have it recognised by the Department of Education.
