This Role:
Commencing in February 2025, as a Social Sustainability Graduate, throughout your two years, you will work within Stockland’s Sustainability and Delivery team. You will contribute to some of Stockland’s key corporate deliverables including the delivery of Stockland’s $1 billion Social Sustainability target. As a Graduate, you will rotate through Stockland’s Sustainability & Delivery teams to gain a broad overview of the function and its responsibility in ensuring the organisations success.

There are some BAU tasks that we have to do on a day-to-day basis, which is understandably tedious but important for the continuation of the business. However, in the teams that I have worked with, we dedicate a lot of time to building new tools, work on projects, and make our work more streamlined and automated. I have been able to learn a lot about automating processes on two cloud providers as well as on local machines. There are exciting projects all around and it has been very true that no two days have been the same. There is a huge innovation culture and innovation is appreciated and encouraged.
The graduate program was more ad-hoc tasks. It would have been a lot better if there were tasks that I could take ownership of.
Currently a Development Graduate in the LLC space. I'm responsible for or assist with the project finances, design, sales, & marketing.

Construction & Property Services
One of Australia’s largest diversified property groups. They own, manage and develop property across residential, workplace, retail and logistics.
My needs and my career goals have been listened to in conversations and accommodations have been provided to me to make those possible. There is a great graduate development program that has helped me grow a lot both personally and professionally.
The people are friendly, supportive and always willing to help.
Really good flexibility in terms of working arrangements.
Plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
The inclusive and flexible culture that Stockland offers has been amazing.
Working hours/load can be a lot at certain times.
The office space is quite outdated as only a couple floors have been renovated.
There are not a lot of benefits/promotions that Stockland offers, especially from third parties.
Career progression is a bit slower due to the size of the company.
Sometimes, the workload outweighs the pay bracket.
