Accounting & Advisory
SW is an Australian owned accounting and advisory firm that understands relationships make all the difference in delivering great outcomes.
The best thing about working at SW is the culture. Previously, I had undertaken an internship at another company and felt overwhelmed and lost as a new starter. At SW I felt that the focus was on me and my development right from the start, with countless opportunities driven toward building my skillset and confidence. My team immediately gave me many responsibilities and did not treat me like I was only there to do the work that nobody else wanted to do. As a new starter I was reassured countless times that everyone around me was there to support me and that if ever I was unsure about something to ask right away - there were no stupid questions.
Although this is my first full-time job in the accounting profession, I have previously worked several full-time jobs where I have felt out of my depth. SW Accountants & Advisors have provided me with the support necessary to excel and feel competent in my role. I am satisfied in my current role and excited for the opportunities that SW provides.
I feel like the best thing about working for SW Accountants & Advisors is that I always feel supported and I am able to grow and learn new skills both technical and soft skills. They also take time to develop us and everyone is helpful in developing me rather than just assuming they know what I am meant to do or leaving it up to me to work out what to do.
The team is the best part of working at SW. You feel very included and supported straight away, which makes coming to work an enjoyable experience each day.
The best thing about working at SW is able to freely ask any questions when needed as my co-workers are very friendly and approachable (including the managers and directors). The whole graduate program experience was vert-taught out to ensure were guided correctly.
I honestly have yet to have a bad experience working with SW.
Not anything yet.
Nothing
I haven't found anything bad, but something that is tough is the new work you have to do. It will take time to learn so patience and commitment to learning are very important.
We are sometimes given tasks without a thorough briefing which can be daunting at times but colleagues are willing to help thankfully.
