The role:

We are currently seeking a Law Graduate to join our Perth office in the firm's Graduate Program.

We hope that all of our graduates will have long and rewarding careers at Thomson Geer. We support our lawyers with multiple streams of in-house training and development programs. At the Law Graduate level, we provide:

  • New Lawyer Training series which provides practical sessions like "Preparing for Court", "Client Service Skills" and "Personal Reputation" delivered by senior lawyers with Thomson Geer.
  • Firm-wide in-house CPD seminars

You may also be eligible to take advantage of our generous Tertiary Study Assistance Program should you choose to undertake additional studies.

In addition to formal training and development, you will have the opportunity to learn and stretch your skills by immersing yourself in meaningful work for clients from the beginning of your career. Our partners will work with you throughout your career providing you with feedback on your development and assisting your further development in line with your goals, and with an understanding that no two career paths are the same.

What we need from you:

  • Strong university academic results, preferably with a relevant second-degree qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • A high level of attention to detail

The successful candidate for this position will be self-motivated and high energy, have the confidence and ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels and possesses strong prioritisation and multi-tasking skills.

In the graduate program currently. I do a lot of research and drafting letters/documents.

Drafting a memorandum in relation to a research task. Drafting agreements, and letter templates. Attending webinars and taking notes Collating documents, preparing hard copies of brief Filling documents at courts
