Your New Role
PPP delivers Westpac Groupโs property, procurement, and protective security requirements. We provide a unique opportunity to participate in a function that supports the Westpac Group.
This is a 12โ24-month program with 2- 4 x 6 months rotations. Opportunity for rotations within Customer & Corporate Services include:
- Corporate Affairs โ covering internal communications, Media and Government Relations as well as Community Programs
- Business Controls & Monitoring โ supporting with risk management and control testing
- Transformation โ help deliver transformational projects for the division.
What the Property, Procurement, and Protective Services Grad Program will offer you?
- Professional learning and development capabilities to support you throughout your career i.e. negotiation, presentation skills (written and verbal), commercial acumen.
- Develop specialist knowledge in core areas (sustainability, crisis management, business continuity, operational risk, procurement, project management, etc)
- Exposure to a range of initiatives, programs, and stakeholders across the function as well as the larger Corporate Services division.
- A flexible program with support to pursue specific business areas of interest to you.
What youโll need to succeed
We are building a team with broad skills and capabilities with game-changing attitudes and are looking for commercially minded individuals with exemplary critical thinking skills. We welcome graduates from all disciplines to apply.
You will also need:
- To be in in your final year of study of a university degree, or
- You can have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, but it must be no more than three years ago.
- You also need to be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident when you apply.

A lot of admin work - booking meetings, writing minutes, making presentation packs, liaising with eas to organise higher-ups attendance. a lot of work is given to you that others in the team would rather not do - the important thing is to have a good attitude regardless of how passionate you are about it as that attitude is what people will talk about when you roll off/apply for internal roles.

Sometimes it is difficult to contact/work with departments outside of your area.
Because it's so big, it's very slow to move with change and onboarding to systems.
Having set days to come into the office. Hard to find a job after graduate program finishes.
Too many systems.
We are big, old and clunky. This means things can take ages to actually get done, and there can be heaps of red tape.
