The methodology varies by project but generally managers are fairly accessible and internal communication is an informal process most of the time. Performance is based on goal setting and ensuring that goals are achieved by the end of the FY.

For my team, the management is quite relaxed, which is good but sometime doesn't help with direction.
Intern, Melbourne - 12 Sep 2024
Not good mentors. I have been put in a team that is not relevant to my skillset. Don't have positive things to say about management. They don't initiate, they don't provide work. As an intern it should not be your responsibility to source work within the company.

I think they are good - good communicators, seem like good mentors

Line managers are extremely accessible, and make a point to regularly check in to see how you are doing and progressing. Managers are very knowledgeable and all see to be open to mentoring and sharing knowledge/experience. Performance feedback can be requested and is readily accessible.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
The managers are generally good, but sometimes they are unapproachable.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
Approachable but they may be a bit busy sometimes. Senior team members make for better mentors since they are a bit more relatable and less occupied. I don't have many formal catchups with my Team Leader
Graduate, Perth - 05 Sep 2024
The managers i had are all very supportive. they are not mentors as mentors are separate roles. my managers keep things clear and transparent and supportive with my personal choice.
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Sep 2024
The managers are accessible on teams but do not initiate meetings and catch ups. Managers do a poor job managing intern workload which has been really disappointing.
Intern, Sydney - 27 Aug 2024
My manager is also my project lead so I am in communication with them almost every day. I can contact them via email or teams or mobile if necessary. Feedback is encouraged to be saved and entered and tracked in workday. We all receive performance reviews every quarter however, if someone wants to give feedback on my performance in the meantime, this can be sent as an email to the managers and then logged in workday. Additionally, I can request feedback any time I like from any team member I have worked with.

Ay to day connections with your line managers; mentors are highly encouraged ; normally dont interact with higher management team but plenty of opportunities provided
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Aug 2024
Some managers are excellent, and put a lot of effort into teaching, managing, giving information and creating a supportive work environment.
Other managers are not interested in working with the team and create a hostile work environment.
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Aug 2024
Everyone is willing to have a chat and support eachothers growth.
Graduate, Brisbane - 26 Aug 2024
Managers are very approachable and very transparent. Managers in my team are good at giving praise and recognition where it is deserved.
Graduate, Sydney - 23 Aug 2024
My managers are very approachable and keep a open channel of communication.

The managers at Aurecon are extremely accessible if you reach out. Mentorship programs at the company are strong and many people have mentors from other teams or capabilities within the company.
