- Interpersonal and communication skills development workshops. (skills: working in diverse teams, managing deadlines, communication)
- technical workshops focused on the specific are the team is working in. (skills: Bridge design and structural engineering)
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Sep 2024
Most of it has been online, which is good. There are a lot of training programs you can self-nominate to do which is very useful. Informal training I think would be considered working through projects and getting feedback, personally I enjoy this kind of learning.
Intern, Melbourne - 12 Sep 2024
There are frequent learning opportunities throughout the week, such as internal presentations which are insightful. When onboarding and available at anytime, there are plenty of online resources and recordings focused on company and discipline specific training.
Intern, Sydney - 10 Sep 2024
My team lacks the structure and maturity to have any formal training which has been disappointing.
Intern, Sydney - 10 Sep 2024
Alot of on the job learning and formal training and support available
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
Training conducted almost entirely through pre-recorded videos which are not that engaging and in some cases out dated.
Interactive workshops would be preferable or shadowing senior teammates to see how they work. This is available, whoever, one must seek it out. It should be made more accessible.
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Sep 2024
General onboarding process then Graduate program
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
The Limelight Early Carrer Professionals (ECP) network is great for personal and professional development with your graduate cohort. The boring IT and compulsory training stuff just is what it is.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
Other than modules (eugh) ((they aren't that bad though)), I had everything from excel to GIS software thrown at me to have a go. I'm now highly proficient in excel and ArcGis, as well as having received tertiary training for trailer and 4x4 driving. Go figure! The company is happy to finance all the training you need. The more diverse your skills, the better.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
I felt like my onboarding process was quite messy. There was training that was meant to be done that slipped under the radar and never happened.
Overall, good amount of learning is available. I've been able to attend conferences, do white card training, regular lunch and learns. Lots of opportunity for informal training, although this can drop off the radar once the workload goes up. Learning on the job is dependent on the capacity of the engineers that I work with.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
The on the job training has been the most extensive. Formal training sessions can be interesting and engaging, mostly done online.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
We have an internal training platform called Aurecon U and the company can also support for some external trainings.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
Formal training comes from Limelight / Grad Program around soft skills but is done mainly online (would be nice in person)
On the job training comes all the time with as we work through different stages of each work package
Graduate, Perth - 05 Sep 2024
There were a few training courses to do online. Also to read many induction documents. The skills and others are picked up when do the work.
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Sep 2024
Plenty of internal and external training opportunities. Lots of technical experts in house to also learn from.
Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Aug 2024
Online training videos.
Intern, Sydney - 27 Aug 2024
Formal training ranges from external industry training to gain certificates, basic industry certificates e.g. white card, first aid to internal training days, webinars on specific topics and also linkedin learning and workday learning modules. As a graduate, when completing major tasks I am often paired with a more experienced team member who explains and guides me through the process.
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Aug 2024
Normally depends on team; there's not much formal training in a sense; normally we picked up the skills through projects
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Aug 2024
Formal training opportunities are great, numerous opportunities to learn.
Informal training is entirely dependent on who you are working with. Unfortunately, this can be excellent, or it can be reduced to nil if working with a senior who is not interested in training on the job
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Aug 2024
So much opportunity for learning. In-person training days, team specific learning, graduate program learning and opportunities for site work. The culture also fosters a learning environment that makes figuring out new technical skills fun and exciting.
