Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Amazing company culture that includes and strengthens IBLs that join their team. There is a strong support system when work gets difficult both internally (managers, colleagues) and external services provided.

Small team - very closely knit. Lots of work form team members outside of standard working hours
Intern, Melbourne - 16 Dec 2022
Culture in office is very positive and welcoming. Out of hours there are many activities that you have an option to take part in. Hierarchy seems appropriate and teamwork is strong when directed well by the team manager.

The culture is the best it possibly could be for a first marketing job, from International colleagues to our Country Manager, everyone is approachable and friendly enough to ask for help or pull aside for a chat. Having business/sales meetings where you collaborate in person also builds relationships so seeing everyone including Global colleagues has been great.
Intern, Melbourne - 06 Dec 2022
Flexible working hours, the culture is great and the company acknowledges the need to balance both work and personal life.

GSK Australia, Abbotsford is an excellent office to work in and you are surrounded by passionate, outgoing, kind and intelligent people. Working in healthcare, people are typically very caring in nature, which I believe to be true of GSK. There are plenty of opportunities to go out and socialise, such as team lunches, "directorate days," office and cultural celebration days.
Intern, Melbourne - 02 Dec 2020
The Feel Good committee provided opportunities to get involved in activities with people from different departments which was good.
Intern, Melbourne - 02 Oct 2020
Although there is a defined structure everyone is very approachable and feedback is welcomed. Many social activities are planned both in and out of work hours
Intern, Melbourne - 02 May 2020
A lot of management not much communication. The team are very nice. Very good friends.

GSK has fantastic culture, anytime you see the executives playing table tennis with the interns you know they are doing something right
Intern, Melbourne - 13 Feb 2020
The team has a great bond and cohesion. Every morning when I walk into the office, people are smiling and laughing, led by the leadership shown both in the medical and commercial sector in vaccines.
Intern, Melbourne (Abbotsford) - 13 Feb 2020
It is very open and friendly work culture and everyone is approachable and willing to help out with any problems. The more senior members are also very approachable and easy to speak to and get mentored by. The social side of our team is great with a pretty new and young team.

GSK's culture is fantastic! Everyone is always quite friendly and hardworking and are always happy to help. The office has an open-spaced layout, which is very welcoming and allows you to have a quick chat to your co-workers from time to time. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside directors, present in front of meetings / executive board and everyone is so encouraging!!!

Culture is very site and team dependent. As a manufacturing site, the day-to-day pressures can be high and breed a culture of selfishness and negativity. In my particular team, the culture is rather positive. This is probably an artefact of the middle management style.

Good company culture, people can both work hard to deliver results and relax at lunch or after work with each other. Overall people are welcoming and willing to work collaboratively to meet deadline and achieve goals.
Graduate, Melbourne - 04 Feb 2016
Great corporate culture, very flat hierarchy, work well as a team, able to socialise in and outside of work, no power distance
Graduate, Melbourne - 04 Feb 2016
People focused culture where there are company-hosted events to de-stress colleagues Socialising is encouraged and is helped by the open office plan, during office hours. Some teams frequently have lunch together, with break out areas and kitchen facilities, socialising is facilitated. Many roles require collaboration with other departments so teamwork occurs often and allows for branching out of ones department.
Intern, Melbourne - 04 Feb 2016
Everyone has always been kind and accepting of others. There is no clique-y culture wherein everyone joins in their own social groups of their own choosing and then snub all others who wish to join in.
Intern, Sydney - 04 Feb 2016
Non-existent hierarchy with an ability to socialise and network on a daily basis.
Entry level, Sydney - 03 Feb 2016
Changed while I was there for the worst and is changing back again. Moving towards open, friendly, supportive and with very little hierarchy
