We are constantly striving for innovative ways to reduce our environmental impact and improve our community engagement. Project run community-wide workshops and education centres such as those seen on the Metro Tunnel. I was part of a team which created an Embodied Carbon Model to quantify the Carbon in our projects in order to drive more effective and sustainable solutions.

They participate in days like R U Ok Day, wear it purple day, etc.

They have a program which offsets the QANTAS carbon emissions.

There are a sustainability and environment team in every project focused on key initiatives such as sustainability, social inclusion, local business and community support and environmental protection.

All projects now have to satisfy sustainability requirements and are socially responsible.

Due to the nature of the work JH performs, its CSR is not always in front of mind. However, I think promoting a diverse skill set among its people (through performing CSR projects) would be a great way to improve this area.
