ASIC’s Insurers team are responsible for the supervision of general and life insurers. The team’s policy, analysis, research and surveillance work improve outcomes for consumers and industry, and contribute to ASIC’s vision for a fair, strong and efficient financial system for all Australians.
The team are currently embarking on a variety of projects that will facilitate innovation and change behaviours to drive good consumer outcomes and support a fair and robust insurance market.
We have several specialist roles across varying pay levels to support these projects – including senior manager, senior specialist, senior regulatory analyst, senior lawyer, analyst and lawyer.
We are looking for team members with demonstrated on the ground experience in the industry, whether it be in product design, underwriting, claims, dispute resolution, compliance, risk or legal across the life and/or general insurance sectors. You will have a deep understanding of the products and services as well as regulatory issues that affect the Insurance industry. You will have an inquisitive and analytical mindset with extensive stakeholder engagement experience.

My role is to provide IT support to internal staff. My responsibilities include helping customers who need help, daily BAU health checks and writing code for new releases/bug fixes.
Generally providing legal advice and assisting in the conduct of litigation.
My day to day responsibilities varies with the team I work in - some teams have more demanding day-to-day responsibilities than others but there is always work to be found if sought
